The Visit

With hands-on experience in stage management and backstage coordination, I have successfully managed stage props, controlled special effects such as fog machines, and assisted actors with quick costume changes during live performances. I thrive in the fast-paced environment behind the scenes, ensuring each production runs smoothly and on cue. My background also includes directing and cueing cast members during performances, contributing to a seamless and engaging theatrical experience for the audience.

I’m so excited to be part of this year’s Christmas play! What makes this experience extra special for me is how the play blends humor with heart—it’s genuinely funny while still sharing God’s word in such a clever and meaningful way. I love how it uses laughter to draw people in, then gently reminds us of the deeper message of love, hope, and faith. Being part of a story that makes people smile and reflect at the same time is a true gift, and I feel blessed to help bring it to life!

Angela Torres White has been passionate about the performing arts since her youth, appearing in Emotions at Grupo Unidad Church as “Joy,” a faith-inspired take on Inside Out. She served over ten years as president, lead choreographer, and dancer for Grupo Unidad’s spiritual dance ministry, specializing in graceful worship dance. For the past nine years, Angela has also been part of the choir and praise and worship team at Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church. Returning to the stage, she continues to express her love for God through creativity and sees every performance as an opportunity to worship the Lord and inspire others to do the same. 

Born and raised in San Diego, CA. John‘s first stage experience was performing Spoken Word in local surrounding venues and coffee shops. John also has stage experience teaching and preaching the gospel for youth and adult ministries. It was in Church where he would get his first taste of acting on stage. John has performed various roles in several plays. From being an extra in a skit to having a vital role in the Christmas and Easter plays, John does his best to bring the message, sermon, skit, and/or script to life. 

I was born in Chicago, IL, on July 5th—this is where all my dreams began. I’ve always felt 

that life is a stage, and we all perform our roles in unique ways. I was blessed to be cast in a Lynn Richardson production called What If, where I played the role of the innkeeper. My next role was in The In Between, written and produced by Jaclyn Parker, where I had the honor of portraying Mary, the mother of Jesus.

I also had the pleasure of working with an amazing cast in Sex His Way, where I played one of the leading ladies, Monica. We performed to two sold-out audiences. Now, I’m excited for the opportunity to work alongside a talented and hardworking cast in the JJ Mars production The Visit.

In addition to acting, I currently lead praise and worship at Real Life Ministry, where I continue to use my gifts to inspire and uplift others.
